Consumer VOICE has launched a Consumer Conversation Series on 22nd February 2017 at India Habitat Center as a public forum designed to educate and guide consumers.

The first conversation focused on ‘Depositor Awareness & Education’ and the structure of the talk included Know Your Customer (KYC) norms & their importance, Dos & Don’ts in Banking, Model Customer Rights Policy in Banks and Digital Payment Systems.

The session began at 6:30 PM with tea & networking, followed by Opening Address & Introduction by Mr Ashim Sanyal, COO, Consumer VOICE. Thereafter, Mr Gopal Ravi Kumar, Head – BFSI Desk and Mr Hemant Upadhayay, Advisor – Projects & IT briefly presented the content that centered the theme of the conversation.

It was then, that the panel comprising of Mrs Nutan Lugani, Retired – Senior Banker, SBI & Senior Counsellor, Consumer Grievances,NCH and ICICI-DISHA, Mr V Shrinivasan, D.G.M., RO-2 , Syndicate Bank and Mr K N Chaturvedi, Certified Corporate Director & Corporate trainer, (Ex-banker Bank of India-Tanzania) explained their experiences from the banking sector and advised consumers on how to be aware and alert in times post demonetization. The session then proceeded with a two-way dialogue between present audience and the set of panelists, wherein they got a chance to interact and get first-hand experiences that help them evolve as a knowledgeable and aware consumer. Lastly, the session ended with Note of thanks to panelists & audience. Thereby, the panelists were felicitated by Mr Anand Pandeya, Director- Outreach, Consumer VOICE. The event saw a good turnout and healthy conversation that helps the organization achieve its mission of Consumer Education & Empowerment.
