This survey, that sought customer satisfaction data from mobile telephony users to assess the performance of 9 service providers, has a surprise finding that the majority of customers are not interested in switching their service providers even if number portability becomes a reality.
This is due to a high level of satisfaction with their current service provider: an average of over 7 on a ten-point scale. However, number portability is welcome for those who are dissatisfied and its introduction will increase competitive pressure on all service providers.
