Coca Cola’s Explanation

In an e-communication to Consumer VOICE, Coca Cola put forth the following points,laying the blame on the doorstep of a "spurious" product, and liberally punctuating its response with .The company follows stringent international processes to monitor the quality of products and adheres to global manufacturing standards at all the units. As such, the possibility of presence of foreign particles in our products is extremely rare.

There have been some instances where consumers/customers have brought to our knowledge that products procured by them contain some undesirable foreign elements.

On analysis of most cases, the products were found to be spurious. In some cases, the bottles have also been found to be tampered with.
