Navratri is divided into nine days and devoted to the Trinity of God worshipped in a female form of Goddess Durga who exists in many forms and is the manifestation of the absolute energy that pervades the Universeto adore three different aspects of the supreme goddess or goddesses . For first three days Goddess Durga ( Goddess of valor) is worshipped, for next three days Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth) and the last three days are devoted to Goddess Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge and Art) . For the devout these days are the sacred for it is during these days when Goddess Durga grants blessings, removes ills and evils and ensures unproblematic life for her devotees.
Celebrating the harvest
Navratri also mark the begining of seasons change and we harvest crops which adds to the glory of these revelry. To celebrate a good harvest and to propitiate the nine planets, women also plant nine different kinds of food grain seeds in small containers during these nine days and then offer the young saplings to the goddess. During this period many people go to temples for prayers . Millions of devotees visit Kalka Mandir, Chhattarpur temple and other nearby located temples in Delhi during Navratri.
