We therefore invite to you to contribute voluntarily to the VOICE Corpus fund and help us take the consumer cause forward. The contribution to this fund gets income tax exemption under section 80(G).

Editorial Corpus Fund

The editorial corpus fund is an initiative close to the hearts of the editorial team of consumer voice.

The team has worked long and hard to bring Consumer Voice to its current versions of online and print. On the way there have been many trials and tribulations but every step of the journey has been a learning experience. Now we are at a stage, where we all feel that we are ready for a big leap forward, but we have understood that however earnest our efforts and however strong our desire this cannot be done by the team alone without the support of our member subscribers. We need our members than to support us in this venture. We need to see and feel that they are with us. We need them to hold our hand and give us confidence while we take the leap.

Youth Brigade Fund

Consumer VOICE came up with the idea of setting up of a Youth Brigade to not only sensitize the youth to a host of issues that need attention, but also to provide them with information and guidance to cope with the day to day consumer problems.
We have already been witness to the force of youth power, when young people helped change the way we celebrate Diwali and Holi for instance. Everybody had been talking for decades about how these beautiful festivals had turned into nightmares, for people in general , because of the insensitivity and crass behavior of a few.
All cultural aspects of Diwali, and Holi ,have ,over the years, been appropriated by the market and thoroughly commercialized. From decorations to colors, sweets and greetings, everything can be bought and sold. The role of indigenous people in making terracotta lamps and Holi colours has been taken over by the chemical colour industry and the blinking electric lights, and this when the country is already suffering from an acute electricity shortage. The hazardous fire crackers and Holi colour industries use child labour, and by refusing to buy crackers and chemical colours. Children have shown rare dicipline and good sense.
Everywhere the social fabric is in tatters. Time tested good practices have been overtaken by over -priced, hazardous commercial activities. The beauty and survival of our cultural rituals is at stake.
Consumer VOICE is putting its faith in the ability of the young to make a difference and turn all this around. The young can reject hazardous practices, refuse to participate in harmful activities and bond to bring about change.
We in Consumer VOICE wish to set up a series of campaigns and projects to mobilize the Youth Brigade to change the way we produce and consume. People of Delhi have been witness to the children's drive against air pollution and Delhi set an example by initiating a CNG substitution for petrol , which brought down air pollution to half.
For setting these projects in motion we want schools, parents and agencies to support Consumer VOICE by contributing generously to our Youth Brigade Fund. Donate in units of Rs 100, Rs 500, Rs 1000 and more. This is what we will do with what you give to the Youth Brigade Fund .
Consumer VOICE will continue to develop resource material for use by schools and colleges for running consumer clubs.
We will use the fund with our young partners for organizing campaigns, competitions, debates and similar activities related to consumer issues.
We will use the fund for training workshops for teachers and students to tackle consumer related problems. We will help organizing Inter school activities on Consumer Right Day. We need you to support us. We need your support to continue to carry the cause forward.
The contribution to this fund will also get income tax exemption under section 80(G).
Consumer VOICE believes that forging beneficial links amongst consumers, market and government interests will promote sustainable and ethical consumption and production for now and in future.
Your contribution may be sent through cheque/DD/Money Order/credit card in favor of "VOICE" payable at Delhi to our personal address.
