Digital Literacy, Training of Trainers Workshop- July 11, 2017

An interactive programme on Digital Literacy was organised by Consumer VOICE in association with Dignity Restoration and Grievance Settlement Association at Prerna Bhawan Faridabad, Haryana on July 11, 2017 as a part of project activities supported by Consumentenbond and Consumers International.

The purpose of the project “Digital Literacy” is to make Consumers digitally literate and boost their confidence to join the digital economy and society.

Through this workshop consumers are able to get first-hand knowledge of Digital Literacy in order to equip themselves and further impart such knowledge gained to cross-section of the society to cover different categories of vulnerable consumer groups such as youngsters, women, elderly and rural folk.

The event was attended by 125 participants The welcome speech was delivered by Dr.Arun Kumar of Dignity Restoration and Grievance Settlement Association followed by introductory message by Mr.Amarjeet Singh , Advisor projects, Consumer VOICE.

The workshop included a Power Point Presentation by Mr. Gopal Ravi Kumar and Mr. Subas Tiwari of Consumer VOICE on Digital Literacy for the uninitiated (an overview) covered topics:

1.  Digital Products in Online Transactions
2.  Digital / E-Services
3.  Information Technology Act
4.  Do’s & Don’ts In Digital Apps Protecting Yourself From Online Frauds
5.  Staying Safe Online
6.  Grievance Redressal Mechanism On Digital Transactions In India
7.  Digital India- Challenges

The last session of workshop includes Question Answer session where doubts of participants were cleared.
