RBI Banking Ombudsman – Settle your banking disputes here

Are you worried about the inordinate delay of your checks? Has your nearest bank refused to open a deposit account without giving any valid reason? Well to address such banking problems, you can always approach the Banking Ombudsman. RBI Banking Ombudsman is your go-to point for disputes concerning banking services. As part of its grievance redressal mechanism for hearing consumer complaints relating to certain banking services, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched the Banking Ombudsman Scheme in 1995. All scheduled commercial banks, co-operative banks and regional rural banks are covered under the scheme.

But few are aware of the ombudsman services and what it covers and what it does not. Consumer VOICE, which has been in the service of consumer education for more than 35 years, has compiled the RBI Ombudsman do’s and don’ts, where and how can one file a complaint before the Banking Ombudsman. Click here  to read the details.
